Why Caroline's Running for Alderman

Caroline became interested in local politics in her experiences on the various organizations in the ward.  Concerned about our State's our City's and CPS' underfunded budgets and structural deficits, as well as the large number of vacant storefronts and lack of investment throughout the ward, she has focused on eliminating wasteful spending that draws resources away from schools and important public services, like police and transportation. Over the course of the past four years, Caroline witnessed decisions being made in a cumbersome manner that stretched out for years, while disregarding the valid concerns of the community.  She is eager to streamline the decision making process, while also engaging in an effective dialogue among all stakeholders to reach an effective resolution to stimulate a vibrant and healthy community.
